Define the expected behavior
- Confirm supported directions, records, triggers, exclusions, and manual steps.
- Approve account, item, tax, and payer mappings with the accounting owner.
- Use controlled test records and write the expected result for every scenario.
Run the matching and payment cases
- Customer matching: test an existing customer, a new customer, and a similar-name record.
- Full payment: verify the correct invoice, payer, payment reference, and zero remaining balance.
- Partial payment: verify the applied amount and remaining balance, including separate payer portions where supported.
Test repeats, recovery, and changes
- Repeat batch: run the same test records again and check for duplicate customers, invoices, or payments.
- Interrupted run: test the documented recovery process and identify what completed before retrying.
- Corrections and refunds: test supported changes and inspect the original record, adjustment, and balance.
- Unsupported behavior: verify how an excluded record is flagged and who performs the required manual step.
Compare, resolve, and accept
- Compare expected and observed records, amounts, dates, mappings, and source references.
- Mark each case PASS, FAIL, or NOT TESTED; document exceptions and their owners.
- Retest corrected cases and have the accounting reviewer record the acceptance decision.
| Case / source reference | Expected result | Observed result / evidence | PASS / FAIL / NOT TESTED | Exception owner / next action |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Tested by / date
Acceptance: ACCEPTED or OPEN / unresolved case references
Accounting reviewer / date / retest required
This test sheet makes no claim that a particular record transfers automatically, that repeat runs prevent duplicates, or that every correction or refund is supported. Verify the configured systems. An untested case is not a pass; document unsupported cases and their manual handling before acceptance.
