Two-way paint system connection

Keep the paint booth moving.See what every paint job made.

AutoHound sends active refinish work, vehicle details, paint codes, and updated hours to the PPG screen your painters already use. Finalized mix usage and actual materials cost return to each RO, so you can see what every paint job made.

No double entry

The paint list keeps itself current

Jobs with refinish hours appear automatically. Estimate and supplement changes keep the PPG screen current.

01

Open the right job without typing an RO number

Painters choose the repair from the PPG production screen they already use. The VIN, plate, year, make, model, and OEM paint code are already attached.

02

See revised refinish hours

When a supplement changes the estimate, the updated refinish hours flow through without anyone entering them again.

03

Clear delivered work from the list

After delivery is recorded in AutoHound, the job closes on the PPG screen. The painter's list stays focused on active work.

Refinish hours count every estimate version, including hand-typed supplements. Rates and materials figures come from imported estimates. Jobs without refinish hours stay off the paint screen.

Keep the PPG workflow

Connect the paint booth without changing how painters work

Painters keep using PaintManager or PPG LINQ on the computer already attached to your paint system. AutoHound sends active jobs and updated refinish hours, and PPG sends mix usage and materials cost back to the RO.

Nothing new for the painter to learn

The jobs are already filled into the familiar PPG production screen.

No dedicated new hardware

A small connector runs on the computer already attached to the shop's paint system.

Works with both PPG platforms

Connect PPG PaintManager or the newer PPG LINQ platform.

PPG sends mix data back

Know the materials margin on every repair

PPG returns mix usage and actual cost to AutoHound, where the numbers sit beside materials revenue on the RO. Actual cost lands a few days after the job wraps, once PPG finalizes the mix data.

How the connection works

One connection. Data moves both ways.

AutoHound sends repair data through PPG's published Paint Shop Interface. PPG returns mix data to the matching RO.

Published interface
AutoHound connects through PPG's published Paint Shop Interface using the standard XML repair order feed.
Outbound connection only
The connector makes outbound HTTPS requests. No inbound firewall rules or open ports are required.
Shop-controlled access
The shop can turn the connection off and revoke access at any time.
Shop-set refresh timing
Refresh timing is set in your PPG software, typically every 2 to 60 minutes.

Connect the paint booth

Keep the PPG workflow your painters know

Connect PPG PaintManager or PPG LINQ to the same repair record the whole shop uses.
